1. You are an only child- You do not or hardly ever share, so people know not to come unless they really need to;
2. You choose who you want to talk to- Socially selective
3. You see yourself as too old- You feel you are too mature for the people who are around you every day so you do not talk to them unless you need to. 4. You do not like a crowd- Even though you enjoy attention you prefer to be alone –unless you cannot do any better.
5. You do not want everybody to know your business- You have seen scenarios when people are close until things get sour each party broadcasts the other’s business and you do not wish to be in that position so you friends may be “pink sized big” or less
6. Less is not complicated- When you are not around people you won’t get into trouble because you don’t say anything to hurt people and get yourself in a social blender. You get more done when you are alone than with a host of people around.
7. You are confident- You are full of charisma and next time you are reserved with a disinterested facial expression. Martha Farrell Erickson, senior fellow with the Children, Youth and Family Association at the University of Minnesota said “a child who had an unresponsive mother will act obnoxious or withdrawn so that people will want to keep their distance. She went on to say that those with consistently responsive mothers are confident and connect well with their peers. Carlin Flora, an editor for psychology today said “our self-concept is fundamentally shaped by one person in particular: Mama. How our mother responded to our first cries and gestures heavily influences how we expect to be seen by others.”
8. You do not spare the truth- People you are around hate the fact that you are blunt 9) You do not laugh at every joke- the scientifically-proven funniest joke in the world: Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He's not breathing and his eyes are glazed, so his friend calls 911. "My friend is dead! What should I do?" The operator replies, "Calm down, sir. I can help. First make sure that he's dead." There's a silence, then a loud bang. Back on the phone, the guy says, "Ok, now what?" Our brains are different, you cannot find your personality in another human- maybe you’re not looking hard enough. What I find funny you may not. In an article written by , an author of Ha!: The Science of When We Laugh and Why, he started it with a joke: How many babies does it take to paint a wall red? Just one, but you have to throw it really hard. Did you get that joke? I didn’t! but our brains are different.
Do you know why you do not have a lot of friends?
